GRG - Glass Reinforced Plaster
GRG is increasingly becoming the material architects choose to achieve complex shapes. It is non-combustible, with a nil rating for surface spread flames, strong, durable and lightweight, as well as being long lasting. It is mostly selected due to the seamless finish, cast joints being undetectable, even under modern lighting, and in comparison to some other cladding methods, less time is spent on site installation.
The material consists of fine plaster, reinforced with filament glass fibre matting and galvanized metal channel.
GRG is used extensively in Entrance Halls, Shopping Centres , Airports and office developments. The most common use being to form bulkheads with complex angles, and column cladding.
